Malayalam wins seven awards at the 66th National Film Awards, 2019

The 66th National Film Awards were announced today and Malayalam won seven awards this year.
Actor Joju George (Joseph) and actress Savitri Sreedharan (Sudani from Nigeria) won the special mention awards, and Banglan won the Best Production Design award for Kammarasambhavam. The late M J Radhakrishnan won the best cinematography award for the film Uru. S Jayachandran Nair won the award for the Best Book on Cinema and Blase Johnny won the Best Critic Award.
Malayalam actress Keerthy Suresh won the Best Actress Award for her performance in the Telugu Film Mahanati. Sruthi Hariharan, who is also a Malayali actress, is also part of the special mention award list.
