Malayalam director Sudheer Bose breathed his last on July 1, Monday. Sudheer Bose, aged 53, had been undergoing medical treatment for an illness. He is survived by his wife Preetha and children Midhun and Souparnika.

FEFKA Director’s Union has shared the news of the demise via their official Facebook handle with a note that read, “Kalabhavan Mani, Mukesh and Rambha starrer ‘Kabadi Kabadi’s director Sudheer Bose has breathed his last on June 1, Monday. Our heartfelt condolences.”

Born in 1971 to Keshavan Nair and Sudha Devi, Sudheer Bose began his career as an assistant director under the mentorship of renowned filmmakers Jeassy and PG Viswambharan. His collaborative effort with director Manu led to the creation of the film ‘Kabadi Kabadi’ in 2008, starring the late Kalabhavan Mani, Mukesh, and Rambha.

‘Kabadi Kabadi’ was celebrated for its superhit song ‘Minnaminunge,’ sung by Kalabhavan Mani, with music composed by Nadirshah. The film’s storyline revolved around stepbrothers Vijayan and Madhavankutty, portrayed by Mukesh and Kalabhavan Mani respectively, who reconcile their differences to participate in a kabaddi tournament in honor of their late father. The movie also featured the actors Harisree Ashokan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Indran, and many others in significant roles.
