The 65-year-old director's body was found on Tuesday, February 13, at his home, where he lived alone. The circumstances surrounding Prakash Koleri's death remain under investigation, and more details, including the cause of death, are awaited.

Koleri gained recognition with his directorial debut, 'Mizhiyithalil Kanneerumayi,' featuring Murali and Asha Jayaram.

Prakash Koleri's 1993 film 'Avan Ananthapadmanabhan' earned several positive reviews from the critics. Starring Kannada actor-director Ramesh Aravind, Sudha Chandran, MG Soman, Mathu, Rajan P Dev, and TG Ravi, among others, the film showcased Koleri's directorial prowess.

After a hiatus in 1999 following the release of 'Varun Varathirikkilla,' the director returned to the industry 14 years later with 'Paattupusthakam,' which ultimately became his final directorial project. The movie featured several mesmerising songs crooned by Vijay Yesudas, K. Krishnakumar, and Subhash.
