Malavika Mohanan looks straight out of a fairytale in THIS photo!
In the photo, Malavika Mohanan is decked up in a powder blue brocade blouse, teamed up with a hot pink dhoti saree. The diva is embracing her washboard abs and looks as fresh as a daisy in the ensemble. Malavika Mohanan has accessorized the outfit with a gold waist chain and a clicker nose ring. She has gone for dewy makeup and long wavy hair. The actress looks straight out of a fairy tale in the photo.
“‘Urvashi’ From a far away time in a far away land ” Malavika Mohanan and we absolutely agree, she looks celestial.
Check out Malavika Mohanan’s post here.
The year is 2021 and the world has progressed in many aspects, starting from societal norms to technology. But seems like a few among us are eons back in history and still can’t help but raise eyebrows (now on the internet) when it comes to the choices women make in fashion (and zillion other arenas, but’s that’s a debate for another day). Whether she is size zero or size 24, whitish or wheatish skin tone, short or tall, women should (‘should’ is quintessential, coz, it seems like many don’t) have the right and are able to choose what she wants to wear.
The recent incident of Srindaa slamming the trolls (‘sarcastic’ according to the perpetrators) made by a media house, points to the very fact that some cannot stand the sight of women embracing fashion, no matter how ‘progressed’ we are.
From Srindaa to Malavika Mohanan, take a look at the times when a few courageous women shut trolls in style!

Srindaa is one of the best-dressed celebs in M-Town. She loves fashion and always makes style statements. Recently the diva was trolled by a popular media house, in one of their ‘sarcastic’ shows.
“Just a friendly reminder that this is 2021, and this shit won't run anymore. When everyone(well almost) is trying to unlearn toxic behavioural patterns, stigmas, and perceptions, fighting for women's rights, and actively creating a space for everyone to love their bodies, Sadly, here we are taking 20000 steps back (sigh),” she said in her social media post reacting to the incident.
Srindaa stressed that it’s high time and emphasized that she is never going to stop doing photoshoots, no matter who gets upset about it.
Srindaa: Are photoshoots really something the media should be discussing now?

Singer-composer Sayanora Philip too gave a befitting reply to the netizens who tried to bully her for wearing shorts. She shared a video of her grooving to the song ‘Kahi Aag Lage Lag Jaave’ with her girls’ squad and a section of netizens made distasteful comments for Sayanora wearing shorts. Following that Sayanora put a picture of her embracing her legs and speaking exclusively to ETimes she shared, “I am loving myself so dearly. I am no longer bothered about how people would feel seeing my legs. They are beautiful.”

‘Thanneer Mathan Dinangal’ actress Anaswara Rajan received a huge backlash from social media for wearing shorts. From netizens sending rude comments to a few ‘advising’ the teenager to not ‘expose’ and wear ‘decent’ clothes, Anaswara too received criticism for her choice of clothes. The young star slammed the netizens by posting yet another picture of her posing in shorts and added, “Don't worry about what I'm doing. Worry about why you're worried about what I'm doing…”

The ‘Beyond the Clouds’ actress is an absolute fashionista and back in 2019, she had shared a photo of her sitting cross-legged on a chair, decked up in a white tank top and hot pants. The moral policing reached the verge of advising the actress to dress like a ‘respectable girl’. And guess what? She shared yet another picture in the same pose and penned, "So many comments and opinions about how “a respectable girl should dress”. On that note, here, take one more picture of me sitting very respectably wearing whatever the hell I want to wear :)."
