‘Malaikottai Vaaliban’ X review: Check out how the audience are reacting to Lijo Jose Pellissery’s film starring Mohanlal
Lijo Jose Pellissery’s ‘Malaikottai Vaaliban’ featuring Mohanlal in the lead role, has hit the big screens today, January 25. The film was released amidst huge expectations, and ‘Malaikottai Vaaliban’ has opened to packed theatres.
Social media is flooded with reactions from movie lovers as well as fans of Mohanlal. Let’s take a look at some of the audience reactions on X (formerly Twitter).
After watching ‘Malaikottai Vaaliban’, a netizen expressed that he was excited about the second part. The post on X reads, “Loved it. It's not as like the way fans expected. But it still stands as a solid film with good high moments. Slow steady First Half with the second half which unfolds the betrayal & core ideas. Mohanlal. LJP. Music adds unique flavor. Excited for Part 2 #MalaikottaiVaaliban.”
Another movie forum on X said, “#MalaikottaiVaaliban : Out N Out #LJP experimental movie. Obviously not everyone’s cup of tea. Drags in someplaces and engages with action blocks & fantasy touch in others. Strong performance from #Mohanlal holds the movie throughout. Nice visuals & frames, good bgm & #VikramMoore’s action block execution were great. Script should’ve been better. Overall a decent one.”
Another review on an X profile reads, “It’s 100% LJP Movie. People who expect a typical Mass Masala Movie of Mohanlal would be disappointed. Moviegoers should go out themselves and experience the technical brilliance this movie is made out of. #MalaikottaiVaaliban #Mohanlal.”
A movie buff expressed that ‘Malaikottai Vaaliban’ can be experienced only on the big screens. “LJP as said created new visual grammar to a rather simple story through #MalaikottaiVaaliban. There are no highs in script & action blocks were poorly edited. Other than that, this is a mixture of comic book & drama film which works with excellent sound-visual experience. Nothing much for Mohanlal except his screen presence. Hareesh Peradi literally carries the climax with his dialogues. The true hero is Prashant Pillai who has elevated even the most damp moments with his score. This is one movie which can be enjoyed ONLY in theatres,” the post reads.
Another netizen wrote, “Had class elements. Had action blocks. Had top notch visuals. Damn fine BGM. Top product overall #MalaikottaiVaalibanReview.”
A movie viewers listed out the reasons why the Mohanlal starrer worked for him. The post reads, “Reasons why #MalaikottaiVaaliban worked decently for me were the editing style, music & visuals. Technical aspects of the film are terrific. Kudos to the team members for that. Yes, narration could have been better & fast paced but give it a try. #MalaikottaiVaalibanReview.”
The seats for the upcoming days are filling fast, especially as the initial reviews that the Mohanlal starter suggests that it can be best enjoyed on the big screens.
