‘Malaikottai Vaaliban’ team to head to Chennai in May for the second schedule
Mohanlal is teaming up with acclaimed filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery for ‘Malaikottai Vaaliban’ and the team recently completed the first schedule. They were filming in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer for about 75 days, and completed the first schedule a week ago. The team will be heading to Chennai to film their next schedule. As per the reports, the second schedule will begin by the mid-May. The second schedule is apparently planned for 40 days, and Mohanlal will be filming his portions with the heroines of the film.
‘Malaikottai Valiban’ is one of the most awaited upcoming films in Malayalam. Lijo Jose Pellissery’s collaboration with superstar Mohanlal is expected to churn out the best of the latter in recent times. The makers will be launching the first look poster on April 14. On the occasion of Easter, they confirmed the same. “Here's #MalaikottaiVaaliban wishing everyone a happy Easter! On this day of hope, faith and redemption, here's an important update - The First-Look poster of #MalaikottaiVaaliban is reaching you on April 14th! Stay tuned in! #MalaikottaiVaalibanFL,” Mohanlal said, in his tweet.
‘Malaikottai Valiban’ will reportedly feature Mohanlal in the role of a wrestler. Sonalee Kulkarni, has roped in to play a pivotal role in the film. Speaking to Kochi Times earlier, she said, “I have been a fan of Lijo’s films and, of course, admire Mohanlal sir, so I couldn’t have asked for more. Today the boundaries between different industries are blurring and we are all identifying as the Indian film industry. It was amazing to see Mohanlal sir doing high-octane action sequences by himself.”
