‘Maayakottaram’ stars Disha Poovaiah and Riyaz Khan

Director K N Baiju writes and directs the upcoming Malayalam film ‘Maayakottaram.’
The movie has renowned Kannada actress Disha Poovaiah, Riyaz Khan and the director himself playing the main roles. Jayan Cherthala, Tamil actor Sampath Raman, Mamukkoya, Narayanan Kutty, Saju Kodiyan, Kesav Dev, Kulappulli Leela and a newbie actress are also part of this film.
The movie is produced by A P Kesava Dev under the banners of Nava Graha Cine Arts and Deva Creations.The movie has Venkit as the cinematographer. Rafeeq Ahamed, Rajeev Alunkal and Murukan Kattakkada are the lyricists of the movie’s songs. Ajay Sa Ri Ga Ma is roped in as the music director. The singers list includes those like Biju Narayanan, Madhu Baladkrishnan, Anuradha Sree Ram, Maathangi Ajith Kumar and others.
The team has plans to start with the film’s shoot in the month of October. As of now, they have already wrapped up the recording of its songs. Perumbavoor and Palakkad are the main locations of the movie.
Sukesh Tanoor is the costume designer of the film, which has B P Sunder as the co-director. Jayaraj is the associate director and the assistant directors are Dinu Sugathan, Athul Kottayi and Ajay S Nair.
The film’s leading lady Disha has starred in movies like ‘Hudugaru,’ ‘Police Story 3,’ ‘Agamya,’ ‘Aashirwada,’ ‘Slum,’ ‘Nayakanahatti Shree Guru Thipperudraswamy Mahatme’ and ‘Sri Sai.’ She was also part of the Tulu film ‘Daniklena Joklu’ and Telugu movie ‘Okate Life.’ Meanwhile, Riyaz Khan was seen last in the film ‘Moonnam Niyamam’ and his next is the Omar Lulu movie ‘Power Star.’
