From using it as self-expression to having purely decorative motives or standing symbolic to something very personal, a tattoo serves a million purposes. The history of how tattooing originated and how it evolved into today’s stylish forms is interesting, but let’s keep that for another day. Getting inked and not are completely personal choices and today, let’s take a look at the Mollywood divas who have got themselves inked in style.

Nayanthara is one of the fashionable actors in South cinema. The gorgeous actress always steps out in style and the superstar perhaps has the most simple yet meaningful tattoo ever. She has a tattoo on her left inner arm that reads ‘Positivity’.

The ‘Nammal’ actress has a couple of tattoos done and one of the coolest is on her hand. Bhavana has a tattoo on her inner arm and that is a crown. The bejeweled crown surely suits the queen she is and Bhavana often flaunts her tattoo in her pictures!

Mollywood actress Samyuktha Menon is a wanderlust soul. And while she was considering ideas for getting inked, she thought why not it be self-expression. The ‘Theevandi’ actress recently got inked on the left side of her back and it reads ‘Sanchari’. The Malayalam word ‘Sanchari’ means traveller.

Actor-producer-dancer Rima Kallingal has a unique tattoo. The diva is a proud feminist and her tattoo is just a badass expression of the same. She has a tattoo vertically on her left hand. Her tattoo reads, “We are the granddaughters of the witches you couldn’t burn.”

M-Town beauty Mamta Mohandas has also got inked years ago. She has a tattoo on the top of her left arm. She seems to be a devotee of Lord Ganesha and has the sacred symbol 'Om' as her tattoo. The words around ‘Om’ reads ‘Om Shree Ganeshaya Namaha’.
