Anandavally was one of the lead artists of 80s. She made her debut into the movies with 1974 movie, 'Devi Kanyakumari.' She gave voice to actress Rajasree, who played Devaki. She got a break in the career while she dubbed for Poornima Jayaram in Manjil Virinja Pookkal.

That movie made her one of the favourite choices of film-makers. She became the voice of the lead actresses of 80s like Sumalatha, Seema, Menaka, Ambika, Suhasini, Lissy, Geetha, Madhavi, Radhika, Unnimary, Shobhana, Parvathy, etc. She was the person who dubbed for actress Geetha in many of her movies. She received the State award for best dubbing artist for giving voice to actress Geetha in Aadharam. She had a son Deepan, who was a filmmaker, who passed away two years ago.
