This Valentines Week, a sweet message is coming to theatres. The message is simple. Love does not stop when you turn 40. Love does not belong only to young people. Love can come to anyone at any time. That is what director Remesh S Makayiram wants to show through his new film “Love in the Forties”.
The film is releasing in Kerala theatres on February 13, just one day before Valentine’s Day. It comes like a small gift for people who enjoy soft stories and warm feelings.
A simple story with three women and one man
The movie moves through the lives of three women. They meet and connect with a man who is a writer and also a publisher. The movie shows how their stories open slowly. It shows how emotions come back into his life. It shows how people in their forties still dream, still feel, still hope, and still want to be loved in their own way. It is not a loud movie. It is a calm and soft story.
Music plays a big part
The movie gives a lot of space for music. The director treats music almost like another character. The songs in “Love in the Forties” are sung by many beautiful voices.
Shahabaz Aman, Nitya Maman, Girish Narayan, Annapoorna Pradeep, Amrutha Jayakumar, Kanchana Sreeram, Aishwarya Mohan, and Shreya Anna Joseph have all sung for the film.
The melodies are soft. They are meant to touch your heart.
