'Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra' OTT release - When and where to watch the Kalyani Priyadarshan starrer superhero film

Dulquer Salmaan-backed 'Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra' garnered immense love in theaters after its release. The Malayalam superhero flick broke several box office records. The producer, along with Tovino Thomas, has made a special appearance in the film. Starring Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead role, the movie had a successful theatrical run. And now, it is gearing up for its digital debut.

'Lokah' OTT release: Here's when and where you can watch the film

As per the reports, 'Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra' will be made available for streaming on the JioHotstar platform. The report further stated that the film will be available to watch on the OTT platform from October 20, 2025. However, the makers are yet to announce the date officially.




The South Indian films, in general, arrive on OTT platforms four weeks after the release in theaters. However, the makers of 'Lokah' decided to take some extra time, as the movie was raking in big numbers at the box office.

Directed by Dominic Arun, the film stars Naslen, Sandy Master, Arun Kurian, and Chandu Salim Kumar, apart from Kalyan Priyadarshan. The film was released in theaters on August 28, 2025. Made on a reported budget of Rs 30 crore, the movie went on to make over Rs 300 crore at the box office.

The film clashed with Mohanlal's 'Hridayapoorvam' and Fahadh Faasil's 'Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira'.

After the success o the movie, the makers announced the next part as well as the 'Lokah' universe. The second installment has been titled 'Lokah Chapter 2: When Legends Chill—Michael and Charlie'. With that, Tovino Thomas as Michael and Dulquer Salmaan as Charlie will be back.

The film has earned Rs 154 crore in India and Rs 300 crore worldwide, according to the Sacnilk report. It is the first Malayalam movie to enter the Rs 300 crore club. According to the latest reports, the movie has collected around Rs 41 lakhs on day 46. Dulquer Salmaan took to Twitter to share that the film has crossed Rs 300 crores worldwide. Dulquer Tweeted, "Only gratitude".
