'Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra' box office collections day 36: Kalyani Priyadarshan’s film nears end of run; Crosses Rs 151 crores

Kalyani Priyadarshan’s big-screen superhero adventure 'Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra' is inching closer to the end of its theatrical journey.



Directed by Dominic Arun, the film has crossed Rs 150 crores, but after more than five weeks, its collections are clearly slowing down.


As reported by the Sacnilk website, on Day 36, the movie added only about Rs 1 crore (early estimates) to its tally. This has resulted in taking its total to Rs 151.80 crore across all languages.




The film had a strong opening and maintained momentum through its first few weeks, but the sharp dip in daily numbers suggests that Lokah is now wrapping up its box office run. Week four saw collections of Rs 13.25 crore. But the pace has since dropped significantly.

Occupancy rates for 'Lokah'

On Day 36, the film recorded an overall occupancy of 46.35% in Kerala. Morning shows were relatively weak at 27.09%, but afternoon, evening, and night shows held well with occupancy crossing the 50% mark.


Other regions, including Tamil Nadu, Telugu states, and the Hindi belt, have contributed smaller shares, with the Malayalam version contributing to majority of the share.

'Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra' stars Kalyani Priyadarshan in a never-seen-before avatar, alongside Naslen K. Gafoor, Sandy Master, Arun Kurian, and Vijayaraghavan. The film had received magnificent reviews from the audiences especially for its blend of superhero narrative and a traditional story line about Neeli which majority of the Malayalis had heard from their childhood onwards.
