Lijin Jose in support of S Durga

Director Lijin Jose has come out in support of the much talked about

S Durga

, which still hasn't been screened at the IFFI. There is an undeclared emergency in our country, Lijin stated at the

IFFI

venue.

Reports say that Lijin was willing to withdraw his own film from the IFFI, a documentary on KG George. However, he was advised against it and decided to express his protest. Earlier too the government has controlled decisions earlier as well but film festivals used to be free spaces, he added.

While the IFFI festival director

Sunit Tandon

had asked Sanal Kumar Sasidharan for a copy of his film, and the censor certificate, it is not known whether the film will be actually screened.
