#Lifeinthelockdown: I am happy that I am facing the lockdown in India, and not alone in Nigeria, says Samuel Robinson

has been living in Delhi for the past few months and when the lockdown was announced, the actor says he wasn’t surprised. The youngster says he is even happy he is facing it in India, and not in Nigeria.

Samuel says, “The lockdown was necessary to keep everyone safe and I am happy I wasn’t alone in Nigeria when Covid – 19 gripped the world, but was with my girlfriend Isha in India. As soon as we found out about the lockdown, we went out and bought the essentials and got ready to face it. We have also been extremely careful with using good masks, sanitisers and the like to ensure we do our bit to prevent the infection.”



And guess what he has been doing the most during these weeks – learning Malayalam. “I have been studying the grammar too in depth and now, I can construct a few small sentences like Njan randamathe nilayil thamasikkunnu, Njan Oru Purushan Aanu (laughs). Regardless, reading Malayalam text has been quite challenging. I have also been watching Malayalam movies, and loved Kumbalangi Nights and Joker.” He found time to read some books too. “Harvest by Tess Gerritsen and A Stranger in the Mirror by Sidney Sheldon were two books that entertained me the most during this time,” he says.



His home country is also placed under lockdown. “There are fewer cases there as compared to other African countries, but government is taking all necessary precautions to prevent a massive outbreak,” Samuel says.
