Lena's Article 21 look came with a lot of hard work

Actor Lena’s Article 21 look makes one do a double-take. Playing Tamil ragpicker, Thamarai, who is a mother of two boys, Lena has shed her usual glam image for a very working class, stained teeth-unkempt hair look. “The head to toe make up took about two hours to do each day, and this is without the touch ups that had to be done through the shoot,” says Lena.
The actor also came prepared before the shoot.On the last four days of her ‘foodie’ film, Saajan Bakery since 1962, she underwent a four-day fast to get her look right for the ragpicker role. Article 21 is written and directed by Lenin Balakrishnan.
