Soumya Sadanandan has written a eulogy for actress Amala Akkineni, with whom she worked for the film C/O Saira Banu. Apparently, Soumya is amazed by the way Amala learnt Malayalam for the film. She writes, "Born to a Bengali Father and an Irish Mother, married to a Telugu Superstar Family, it was not easy for
Amala Akkineni to understand Malayalam. No! It was not even simple spoken Malayalam she had to speak.
She had to learn the lines of Annie John Tharavadi who is a Public Prosecutor. You see how she reacts when I read out her dialogues!! :P Poor thing had it all perfected because she knew Annie had to be perfect. Humility. Perfection. Kindness. Understanding. Professionalism. I had a ball of a time learning from her. I know this friendship shall last for long, really long."
C/O Saira Banu is up for release and stars
Manju Warrier and Amala in the lead roles.
