Lakshmi Manchu is making her Malayalam debut with the upcoming
Mohanlal starrer ‘Monster’. The actress is taking martial arts (Kalaripayattu) lessons for the film and seems like she is right on track! Lakshmi Manchu has now shared a glimpse of her mastering the Ashwa vadivu, the horse stance.
The ‘Monster’ actress also detailed the vadivu (stance) to her social media family.
“𝗔𝘀𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘃𝘂 (𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲) This posture imitates the horse itself rather than the rider. In kalarippayattu, the horse stance has the hind leg stretched completely backward while the knee of the front leg is bent ninety degrees. It's one of the main postures of the Shiva form and is related to the Virabhadra Sana (warrior pose) in yoga. It improves hip mobility, hamstring flexibility, and core strength,” she said.
She further added that she will be sharing glimpses of her Kalaripayattu lessons with her social media family, “Every day I'll be sharing a little something from what I am training from @krishnadasvallabhatta garu and making the most of being in Kerala. This has been one of the most exciting new things that I'm learning this year and I cannot wait to finesse this flair. #Kalaripayattu #Monster.”
Meanwhile, ‘Monster’ is helmed by Vysakh, who had previously directed Mohanlal for the blockbuster ‘Pulimurugan’. Lakshmi Manchu has roped in to play the leading lady in the film. Actors Sudev Nair and Honey Rose too are part of the cast.
The team has reportedly kickstarted the second schedule of the film in Kochi lately.
