When a film has Shabareesh Varma, Vinay Forrt and Balu Varghese in the lead the comedy is expected in the mix. And Laddoo is definitely a comedy. But will it be yet another BTech/ unemployed youngsters getting into trouble story, that is seen as the theme of this generation?

Helmed by debutante Arun K David, Ladoo is a comedy written by Sagar Satyan. It is definitely a comedy by and for youngsters. In a way, it is also sort of a tribute to the yesteryear comedies of the 80s and 90s that the millinials grew up watching. Sabareesh Varma also pens the lyrics to the song by Rajesh Murugesan. Adding colour to the young and vibrant visuals Gautham Sankar works the camera for Laddoo.
Vinu and Angeline, a couple in love, wish to elope and get married. But then, when friends step in to help, it becomes a clear case of 'too many cooks spoil the broth'. With each turn going wrong it seems like there is more at stake than meets the eye.

Much like the early 90s movie, Ladoo is the story of a mess that creates itself, thanks to the idiocies of too many, and then struggles to untangle the mess one by one. With debutants cooking this 'Laddoo', the film is a fun ride drenched in comedy. A love story, and a planned eloping and a chase- the story is as old as time, but what makes it different is the young and fresh narrative style. Everything from the songs stand out as stylish. Laddoo stands out in the making and it's obvious tribute to cinematic motifs of the 90s.

How will they save the day? How will the tangled mess get sorted? Will love win over or is the story all that simple? Find out, laughing your lungs out throughout the way.
