Mollywood actor Vishnu Unnikrishnan will be essaying a police character for the first time with the upcoming movie ‘Kuri’. Recently the makers announced the release date of the film which is scheduled for July 8 this year.

Touted as a family suspense thriller, ‘Kuri’ is written and directed by KR Praveen. The entire filming of the movie was done in areas around Idukki’s Vandiperiyar region. Santhosh C Pillai will be cranking the lens for ‘Kuri’ and Rashin Ahammed is roped in as the editor for the movie. Vinu Thomas is in charge of the music department and the lyrics of the songs in ‘Kuri’ will be penned down by BK Harinarayanan.

Apart from Vishnu Unnikrishnan, ‘Kuri’ has an ensemble cast that includes the actors Surabhi Lakshmi, Vinod Thomas, Sagar Soorya, Pramod Velayanad, Chala Pali, Vishnu Govindan, and Aditi Ravi in significant roles. Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Surabhi Lakshmi will be playing the characters Dilip Kumar and Betsy respectively in this suspense thriller movie.

Meanwhile, it was recently that the actor Vishnu Unnikrishnan suffered burns during the shoot of his directorial debut ‘Vedikkettu’. The actor was soon rushed to a private hospital and last week, the actor himself shared a picture of him in the hospital bed showing that he is recovering from the injury.

On the other hand, Vishnu Unnikrishnan’s previous outing was with the Malayalam film ‘Randu’ where he played the lead character named Vava. The actor also has a host of highly ambitious movies in the pipeline that includes ‘Eeyal’, ‘Sabash Chandra Bose’, ‘Shalamon’, ‘Anuradha Crime No.59/2019’, and ‘Marathakam’.
