The actor will star alongside yesteryear dreamgirls in scriptwriter Suresh Babus film, Sir CP In a casting coup of sorts, young superstar
Kunchacko Boban will team up with yesteryear dream girls Sheela and Jayabharathi for an upcoming flick titled Sir CP. It would also mark the coming together of two of the most popular Mollywood actresses after a span of more than two decades.
While its script-writer, Suresh Babu of Shikkar fame, insists he wants to keep the nature of their roles as a surprise, he says,
Kunchacko will be playing a strong-willed, authoritarian youth who reminds the people of the late Travancore Diwan CP Ramaswami Iyer. So they give him the moniker Sir CP.
The casting of the flick, which will be helmed by Ranjith Lal, is similar to the Dileep-flick
Mazhathullikilukam, which brought together popular yesteryear actresses Sarada and Bharathi. It would be interesting to see the two stars back together again in Sir CP as they were arguably the first actresses to be cast in multi-starrers in Mollywood alongside Sathyan, Prem Nazir and Jayan in the 1960s and 70s.
