Kunchacko Boban is ecstatic as ‘Ariyippu’ has its world premiere at the 75th Locarno International Film Festival

Popular Malayalam actor Kunchacko Boban is currently in Switzerland’s Locarno attending the 75th edition of the Locarno International Film Festival, as his film ‘Ariyippu’ had its world premiere at the festival. Kunchacko Boban was ecstatic attending the festival and said, “After 25 years in the film industry it’s going to be my first ever experience attending a film festival anywhere. And to start with Locarno, it’s a great blessing and honor.”

Kunchacko Boban also penned a heartfelt note expressing gratitude to the entire team of ‘Ariyippu’. “When Malayalam roared at the 75th Locarno International Film Festival. “ARIYIPPU” had its world premiere as the opening movie in the competition segment today in Locarno Film Festival before a packed house of nearly 2500 people from all across the world. The huge round of applause from the audience when the movie ended and the appreciation during the Q&A was just more than what dreams are made of!!! Thank you Mahesh @maheshnarayan_official for being what you have been throughout my life… Shebin @shebinbacker for being a wonderful producer, partner & pal… Divya @divya_prabha__ for the outstanding performer and whacky friend…Sanuchettan @sanujohnvarughese for the life-breathing visuals… Jothish @jothishshankar for being our go-to-man… An amazing ensemble of the finest actors @lovleenmisra @dan.husain @kannanarunachalam41 @whofaisalmalik…and the entire team of ARIYIPPU for giving their best for this movie. Helmed by Mahesh Narayanan, 'Ariyippu' tells the story of a Malayali couple, who dream of migrating out of the country for a better life. Interestingly, ‘Ariyippu’ also becomes the first Malayalam film to be showcased at the Locarno Film Festival.
