Goodwill Entertainment, which has three films in various stages of completion, has conveyed its opinion on debate raging about theatre vs OTT releases of films. Mammootty-starrer
Kuberan, directed by Ajai Vasudev, has received its U censor certificate. The shoot is complete for Veyil, starring Shane Nigam and helmed by Sharath Menon, while big-budget Suresh Gopi-movie Kaval has 10 days of shoot left. The production company has said they will hold the three films until theatres reopen, rather than opt for a digital release.
“Producers are struggling, theatres are struggling, distributors are struggling, crew members and actors are struggling,” Goodwill Entertainment said in a note on social media, adding that, the company is “not facing problems at this stage”. “If the situation becomes worse and more problems arise, we may have to re-think on our decision.”
