Released in 2018, 'Thobama' was backed by popular filmmaker Alphons Puthren and Sukumaran Thekkeppat. The movie had actors Sharaf U Dheen, Krishna Shankar and Siju Wilson in lead roles. Punya Elizabeth essayed the female leads. Directed by Mohsin Kassim, the screenplay of the movie was jointly crafted by the filmmaker along with T. V. Aswathy.

Krishna Sankar debuted with Alphons Puthren's movie with 'Neram'. After appearing in movies like 'Law Point' and 'Bhaiyya Bhaiyya', Krishna Sankar appeared in 'Premam'. The actor essayed Koya, one of the friends of George (Nivin Pauly). He shot to fame for playing the interesting character. Meanwhile, on the work front, 'Mariyam Vannu Vilakkoothi' was Krishna Sankar's last outing.
