‘Kotthu’ trailer: Sibi Malayil promises an intense political thriller

Sibi Malayil’s ‘Kotthu’ featuring Asif Ali, Nikhila Vimal, and Roshan Mathew in the lead roles is heading to the cinemas on September 23, and ahead of it, the makers have launched a trailer. The trailer begins with the funeral of a few members of a family, and they are survived by a kid named Shanu. Shanu’s family is brutally murdered. Asif Ali apparently plays Shanu, who is brought up by a father-like figure, played by filmmaker Ranjith.Shanu has strong political beliefs and would do anything for the party. Roshan Mathew and Nikhila Vimal too make a strong presence in the trailer. The glimpse also speaks about the bloodshed and killings happening in the plot. The trailer promises an intense political thriller.

Directed by Sibi Malayil, ‘Kotthu’ is written by Hemanth Kumar. The film has Asif Ali, Nikhila Vimal, and Roshan Mathew in the lead roles, while actors Ranjith, Sreelakshmi, Sudev Nair, Sreejith Ravi, Vijilesh Kariyad, Athul Ram Kumar, Sivan Sopanam, Dinesh Aleppy, and Rahul will be seen in supporting roles in the film.

Prashanth Raveendran has cranked the lens for 'Kotthu', while the edit is done by Rathin Radhakrishnan. Liju Prabhakar has roped in as the colourist. Kailas Menon is composing the music for the film, and Jakes Bejoy is in charge of the background music. Prasanth Madhav is the production designer, and the stunts are choregrapher by Rajasekhar, and Mafia Sasi. Sameera Saneesh has designed the costumes while the makeup is done by Shaji Pulpally. As ‘Kotthu’ marks Sibi Malayil’s return after a gap of almost six years, all eyes are on the film.
