‘Kondal’ OTT release: Antony Varghese starrer set for digital streaming

The first movie from the Onam race to hit the OTT platforms seems to be the Antony Varghese starrer ‘Kondal’.

Those who have missed the theatrical experience of this sea action flick can enjoy the film on Netflix on October 13, Sunday. Directed by Ajit Mampally, ‘Kondal’ hit the big screens during the Onam season along with the films ‘ARM’, ‘Kishkindha Kaandam’, and ‘Bad Boyz’.

Unfortunately ‘Kondal’ didn’t hold much longer at the big screens due to the tight competition from Tovino’s ‘ARM’ and Asif Ali’s thriller ‘Kishkindha Kaandam’. Now as the Antony Varghese starrer is gearing up for the OTT release, it is expected that the movie will find a vast audience.

‘Kondal’ plot revolves around Antony Varghese’s character Manuel who starts to work on a fishing boat. A mishap happens when a tragedy divides the crew and violence starts. The movie promises to offer never-seen-before-seen sea action sequences.

Hitting the big screens on September 13, ‘Kondal’ marks the second outing of Raj B Shetty in Mollywood as he made his first outing in the Malayalam film industry with the Mammootty starrer action flick ‘Turbo’ which was directed by Vysakh and scripted by Midhun Manuel Thomas.


‘Kondal’ has an ensemble cast. Actors Shabeer Kallarakkal, Gauthami Nair, Nandu Madhav, Sarath Sabha, Jaya Kurup, Usha, and many others in pivotal roles.

Meanwhile, Asif Ali’s ‘Level Cross’ will start digital streaming on October 13. The movie was directed by Arfaz Ayub who took to Instagram and shared a note that read, “Tomorrow is the big day! LEVEL CROSS streaming on Amazon Prime Video on 13th October. Don't miss out!."
