In the sixth death anniversary of the legendary actor Bharath Gopy, his son Murali Gopy’s mission to create a digital memoir about his father came to fruition. The website www.bharatgopy.com with cutting edge technology spans the multifarious personality in an encyclopaedic manner. Interestingly, the site launched on January 28 is not only a digital memoire of Gopy’s work in cinema as actor, director and producer but it also features his multiple oeuvres– poet, playwright and essayist.
He wrote in his Facebook page: Dear all, if there has ever been in me something called "my life's mission", it was to put the bricks together for a befitting monument for my father's works. Since he was uniquely original in his creativity and outlook, I couldn't have followed the norm and thrown my weight behind the institution of Awards and Memorial foundations, which run the high risk of getting hijacked by political pettiness, commercial crassness and Satellite silliness.
Having done this site, I really feel like hopping on to my steed, adjusting my hat, and galloping on to the horizon," the actor cum scriptwriter said.
