Kayoze Irani lauds Prithviraj Sukumaran’s ‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’: This film was soo much fun!

Bollywood filmmaker-actor Kayoze Irani is all praise for the latest Malayalam release ‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’. The film directed by Vipin Das, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Basil Joseph is currently streaming Disney.

The ‘Ajeeb Daastaans’ director happened to watch the Malayalam film, as it started streaming, and found it quite entertaining. In a note shared on his Instagram story, Kayoze Irani said, “This film was soo much fun! Please do watch it!!! Congratulations to the whole team (sic)!”

Prithviraj Sukumaran reshared it and wrote, “Thank you Kayo!”

Helmed by Vipin Das, ‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’ has Prithviraj Sukumaran, Basil Joseph, Nikhila Vimal, and Anaswara Rajan in the lead roles. The film revolves around a wedding that is set to happen at the famous Guruvayoor Temple in Kerala.

ETimes rated ‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’ 3 out of 5 and wrote, “Director Vipin Das had been clear from the get-go to not expect another Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya He. Guruvayoorambala Nadayil is an out-and-out entertainer. Prithviraj and Basil were spectacular, and their chemistry is one to cherish. At one point, the audiences, like the characters in the film, wonder if it's their characters, Anandan and Vinu, respectively, who are going to get married instead of Vinu marrying Anandan's sister. The second-hand embarrassment from some of the antics makes it all the more enjoyable.”
