The much hyped period movie Kayamkulam Kochunni was supposed to release in August, during the Onam weekend.
But the unprecedented floods and its aftermath led to the postponement of the release of all films, including Kochunni. The makers are now planning to release the film in October, ahead of the pooja holidays, reportedly. No major film released during the floods, and the first to hit theatres would be Ranam, which will release as scheduled, on September 6.
Kayamkulam Kochunni will see
Nivin Pauly as the iconic highwayman, and has a budget way above a usual Malayalam movie.
