Kayamkulam Kochunni release postponed to Aug 22 due to Kerala floods

Nivin Pauly’s upcoming period film, Kayamkulam Kochunni, which was supposed to hit theatres on Aug 17 has been postponed to Aug 22 due to the situation in Kerala because of the floods.
The makers of the movie, which was supposed to have a wide release, have decided to push the release tentatively to Aug 22. Kerala has been hit by one of the worst floods it has experienced with thousands displaces and at least 160 dead due to the calamity.
Other movies that were supposed to release on Aug 17 have also been postponed. Varathan, Padayottam, Oru Kuttanadan Blog and Theevandi were supposed to be the festive releases for this month.
