Kavya Madhavan sings for Ratheesh Vega

Kavya Madhavan seems to be thoroughly enjoying her new role ��� though, not on screen. This time round, the actress has stepped from before the camera to behind the mike. Kavya, who brought out her music album a few months ago, seems to be buoyed by its success, now that she���s stepping over to some serious playback singing too! The actress has just finished recording a song for fashion photographer-turned-film director Aneesh Upasana���s debut flick, Matinee. Interestingly, the song will be filmed on Mythili, who plays the protagonist in the flick.
Meanwhile, composer Ratheesh Vega continues to keep up the trend of roping in celebrities to sing for him, the latest being Kavya. ���Kavya���s is a slow melody number and she has sung it beautifully,��� informs Ratheesh, whose composition Aattumanal Payayil in Run Babby Run crooned by Mohanlal continues to top the charts. The song even broke Kolaveri���s record! ���Yes, Aattumanal got more hits on the internet than Kolaveri got in 48 hours,��� beams Ratheesh.
The list of celebs the composer has got to sing doesn���t end here. ���V K Prakash���s next release, Poppins, has actress Nithya Menen singing a peppy number that I���ve composed. Though she has done playback singing in Kannada earlier, this is her first in Malayalam,��� states Ratheesh.
Looks like November will be teeming with numbers from the hitmaker, with three of his films slated for release. ���Scene I Nammude Veedu, Poppins and Matinee will have 12 songs in toto. The former is the last flick of veteran actor Thilakan, who passed away recently. There���s one entire song filmed on him, for which he has done the lip sync too. It was quite an emotional moment watching his last visuals against the backdrop of my music,��� Ratheesh signs off.
