The film is set against the backdrop of ivory killing, and the second-look poster hints at illegal poaching.

The makers of the film dropped the poster on X and captioned it, “In the rain of wrath, only one stands tall. Presenting the Second Look poster of KATTALAN—The Hunter.” They also confirmed that the teaser, the first glimpse of the film, will arrive on Friday, January 16. All about 'Kattalan'

‘Kattalan’ will feature actor Antony Varghese, best known for his role in ‘Angamaly Diaries’ and ‘Jallikattu,’ in the lead role. Directed by debutant Paul George, ‘Kattalan’ is set against the backdrop of ivory smuggling. Billed as a high-octane actioner, the film also has actors Dushara Vijayan, Sunil, Kabir Duhan Singh, Jagadish, Siddique, Anson Paul, Raj Tirandasu, rapper Baby Jean, Hipster, singer Hanan Shaah, Parth Tiwari, and Shibin S Raghav.
Co-scripted by director Paul, Joby Varghese, and Jero Jacob, the film’s dialogues are crafted by Unni R. On the technical front, Renadive is the director of photography, and Shammer Muhammed is the editor. ‘Kantara’ fame composer B. Ajaneesh Loknath has also joined the team. The film is expected to be high on action, and Kecha Khamphakdee, known for films such as ‘Ong-Bak 2,’ ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion,’ and ‘Jawan,’ has been roped in to choreograph the action sequences. ‘Kattalan’ will hit the theaters on May 14.
