Kasthuri makes a comeback to M-Town

Remember the Rafi-Mecartin film, Aniyan Bawa Chettan Bawa, which offered Malayalis many evergreen comic moments? Kollywood actress Kasthuri, who played Jayaram’s love interest in the film, is back in M-Town after almost two decades. She dons a prominent role in Rajesh Pillai’s Mili, which is currently under production.
“Kasthuri plays Nancy, the sister of Nivin Pauly’s character Naveen.While Naveen is a motivational speaker in the film, Nancy is an ophthalmologist. The duo plays an important role in the life of Amala’s character, Mili, who is an introvert,” says a source close to the film. The actress, who took a brief break post her marriage, is currently settled in the US with family. She was back in Kollywood a few years ago through an item number. Kasthuri has also hosted a popular quiz show on Tamil television.
She will also be seen in a number of upcoming Tamil films including Vada Curry, Andhra Mess, Therodum Veedhiyile and Areyrey.
