'Karuppu' actor Indrans recalls working with Vijay; Calls meeting 'Jana Nayagan' actor a blessing

Malayalam actor Indrans is currently receiving appreciation for his performance in 'Karuppu' which stars Suriya in the lead role and is directed by RJ Balaji.Amid the positive reception surrounding the film, Indrans recently opened up about his experience working with actor and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay. The actor shared memories from the time he worked in 'Nanban' and also spoke about filmmaker Shankar.

Indrans shares his experience with Vijay

During an interview with the YouTube channel Cineulagam, Indrans spoke about getting the opportunity to work alongside Vijay. The actor described it as a special moment and shared how meeting a star of Vijay's stature felt important to him."I was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to meet Vijay. I had a scene in 'Nanban'. There was a scene where everyone was sitting together with Sathyaraj sir, and Vijay sir was also there. He is an actor who is known and loved by everyone in our country. Kerala is a small state," 'Home' actor said.

Indrans calls it a blessing

The actor further spoke about his background and explained why the experience meant a lot to him. He said coming from a comparatively small industry, getting the chance to work with a widely admired actor felt memorable.He also opened up on his role in 'Nanban' and the atmosphere on the set, "For someone from our small industry to get the chance to meet a person like him felt like God's blessing.
Even though my role in Nanban was small, the director himself was such a big personality. Getting the chance to perform when he says 'action' is itself a blessing. It was a huge crew. But the set was extremely quiet, very silent. Sir would come near us, explain everything very calmly, and then leave."

Indrans speaks about Shankar

Apart from Vijay, Indrans also spoke about filmmaker Shankar and his wish to work in one of the director's projects. The actor recalled how Shankar noticed his work during a period when he was appearing in comedy films.Indrans also revealed that despite working in serious roles, his comedy performances attracted attention.Sharing more details, Indrans explained that his style and voice also suited the comic space in which he was working at that time."I always wanted to act in a film directed by Shankar sir. He noticed me. During that time, I was mostly doing comedy films. I was also doing serious roles, but he called me after seeing my comedy performances. He had watched Three Idiots and that itself is a comedy film. Even my voice suits that style, and I kept it the same while dubbing too," Indrans said.Meanwhile, 'Karuppu' continues its theatrical run with positive audience response.
