‘Kanmaniye’ song from ‘Makal’ explores the parental bonding

’ hit the big screens on April 29, and the family drama has managed to conquer hearts. The makers have now launched a song from the film. Titled ‘Kanmaniye’, the song is all about parental love and affection. The soothing melody explores the bond between Nandan (Jayaram), and his daughter Aparna aka Appu (

Devika Sanjay

). The song also gives a glimpse of Appu’s equation with her mom

Juliet

(Meera Jasmine). ‘Kanmaniye is composed by Vishnu Vijay, and is penned by Harinarayanan BK. Pradeep Kumar, and Karthika Vaidyanathan have crooned the soulful number.

Directed by Sathyan Anthikad, ‘Makal’ featured Jayaram, Meera Jasmine, and Devika Sanjay in the lead roles. Actors Naslen, Innocent, Sreenivasan, Sidhique, Altaf Salim, Jayasankar, Dayyana Hameed, Meera Nair, Sreedhanya, Nilja Baby and Balaji Manohar, were seen in some pivotal roles in the film. The film also marked Meera Jasmine’s arrival on the silver screen after a hiatus. The actress received a warm welcome from the audience.
