Strong performances; especially Mammootty as the antagonist
Directed by Jithin K. Jose, 'Kalamkaval' brings together a cast led by Mammootty and Vinayakan, with Gayatri Arun, Rajisha Vijayan, and Gibin Gopinath playing key roles. Although the script is said to be an engaging, yet not so suspense-filled one, Mammootty's performance as the serial killer character is getting much love from the audiences for all the right reasons. Equally good is Vinayakan's role as a cop who goes on a hunt for the serial killer. Overall, woth 'Kalamkaval', Mammootty has wrapped up 2025 on a high note, even though some of his films in the start, such as 'Dominic and the Ladies' Purse', and 'Bazooka', flopped at the box office.
