Kaithapram and son team up again

The music industry has seen a lot of amazing father-son collaborations such as Yesudas and Vijay Yesudas and Shankar Mahadevan and Siddharth.
Director Jayan K Nair's debut Malayalam movie, Hello Namasthe has brought together another dad-son combination of musicians — Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri and Deepankuran. The duo has written and composed a song titled Kandukothiche for the movie.
On the venture, Deepankuran says, “Though I have worked with achan earlier, composing this song was a fantastic learning experience. We have a good sync. My father, who has worked with a lot of musicians and music composers, is bestowed with abundant knowledge of music. While working, he prefers to be professional and shares his knowledge with me.”
The duo had previously worked for the film Camel Safari in which Deepankuran, composed music and Kaithapram penned the lyrics. The former started off his career in 1996 as a singer in Jayaraj’s National Award-winning movie, Deshadanam and has crooned for films including Life is Beautiful, Sathyam Shivam Sundaram and 4 the people.
