As Mammootty and Jeo Baby are teaming up for the first time for the drama movie 'Kaathal: The Core’, the expectations are high. During the press event for the movie, the legendary actor said that the film revolves around a revolutionary subject.

Labelling the film as an emotional family drama, director Jeo Baby unveiled its thematic depth, delving into the intricate interplay among family members. Addressing the media during promotional events in Kochi, Jeo Baby expressed his fascination with the project, marking his maiden attempt at directing a script crafted by another. This decision stemmed from the script's compelling allure, drawing him into uncharted storytelling territory.


During the event, Mammootty shed light on the film's groundbreaking subject matter, hailing it as revolutionary while spotlighting its intimate portrayal within the confines of a humble locale and a singular household.

Mammootty and Jeo Baby explained the meaning of the two distinctive titles of the film. ‘Kaathal’ symbolises the word ‘love’ in Tamil and the ‘core’ in Malayalam, setting the tone for a deep exploration of human connections.

Actress Jyothika, who plays the female lead in 'Kaathal: The Core’, said during the event that the movie is'very different’ and she also fell in love with her character and the plot. She further said that the 'Kaathal: The Core’ plot is unique and that the audiences would find refreshing.

As 'Kaathal: The Core’ is set to release on November 23, audiences are expecting another hit from Mammootty after ‘Kannur Squad’.
