Jude Anthany Joseph reveals removing an actor from ‘2018’ after misconduct towards a female junior artist on set

The director Jude Anthany Joseph has shared that he had to take a tough decision during the making of the blockbuster film ‘2018’. The director disclosed that an actor who played a significant role in the film was removed from the project after he misbehaved with a female junior artist on set.

Speaking to 24 News, Jude explained the incident, saying, "One day, an actor in the film misbehaved with a female junior artist. Due to this reason, I completely removed his scenes from the movie." The director emphasized that despite the actor’s important role, he decided to cut all of his scenes to maintain a respectful working environment.


Jude further revealed that the actor was initially cast in one of the major roles, with several continuity sequences throughout the film. However, after the incident, Jude took the difficult step of replacing him and reshooting those scenes with another actor. “I re-casted another actor and completed the film,” Jude said.

The director has not disclosed the name of the actor involved, but he mentioned that attentive viewers might notice a character in the superhit film ‘2018’, whose storyline seems to lose continuity towards the end of the film.
