Joy Mathew's movie at IFFK

Joy Mathew's directorial debut, 'Shutter', has been selected for the competition section of the International Film Festival of Kerala(IFFK). The film will have to compete with 14 other language films from different countries.
Shutter, which stars Srinivasan, Lal, Riya Saira and Vinay Forrt, is set in Calicut. A special feature of the film is that, it has a host of theatre actors playing a prominent part.Resul Pookutty has done the sound design while Hari Nair has handled the cinematography.
The story revolves around the lives of three characters and takes place behind the shutters of a shop. 'The jury is an international one and I feel honoured that it has been selected for the competition section,' says Joy. The only other film which has been selected from Malayalam is T V Chandran's Bhoomiyude Avakashikal. Shutter will release in theatres in Kerala soon. 'We are considering sending the film to other film festivals too,' says Joy.
