Naslen and Mamitha Baiju starrer ‘Premalu’ hit the big screens on Friday, February 9, and the film is receiving rave reviews. Girish AD's romantic comedy has resonated with the audience, and filmmaker Jis Joy has also praised the film.
Jis Joy seems to have watched the film on the first day, and expressed that he left the theatre with a smile, which is rare these days.
In a note shared on Facebook, Jis Joy said, “Premalu. Such a beautiful movie with plenty of comedy and emotions. Proud of u Bhavana studios, Girish Ad , Kiran Josy. Happy for u Shyam u were outstanding. Dileesh Shyam Pushkar, Fahad you deserves this success.”
Jis Joy also lauded Naslen and Mamitha Baiju’s performances in the film, “Naslen how easly you deal with comedy and emotions as well. Mamitha Baiju you were just amazing. Thank you for making me happy in theatre after a little while.”

Helmed by Girish AD, ‘Premalu’ has Naslen and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles. Actors Althaf Salim, Shyam Mohan M, Akhila Bhargavan, Meenakshi Raveendran, Sangeeth Prathap, and Shameer Khan are seen in supporting roles in the film.
Despite not being a star-led film, ‘Premalu’ earned Rs 1.3 crore on the opening day. The positive buzz after the first show and the opening day has seen a surge in the footfall, and the addition of 41 screens due to the demand. There is considerable anticipation for the weekend box office and the earnings in the upcoming week, especially with the Valentine's season adding to the momentum.
