Jayasurya shares a major update on ‘Kathanar: The Wild Sorcerer’

Expectations are quite high as the talented actor Jayasurya breathes life into the iconic role of the priest ‘Kadamattathu Kathanar.’.


After three years of pre-production, one and a half years of filming, and the completion of primary post-production work, the movie has now entered the dubbing stage.


Jayasurya, who has dedicated the past three years entirely to embodying Kathanar, shared his immense joy from the dubbing studio through his social media handles. Sharing the poster, the actor wrote, “ROARING SOON. #kathanar.”

Jayasurya’s post was soon flooded with comments from fans who were all waiting to hear an update from the most awaited Rojin Thomas’ directorial. One commented, “Very much waiting; we also need a Bahubali.” Another comment read, “The movie that is going to be a game changer in Mollywood.” A third one wrote, “The biggest film in the Malayalam industry is loading.”


The legend of Kadamattathu Kathanar has secured a significant place in the pages of history as a fascinating fantasy tale. The story of the mystical priest with supernatural powers has always intrigued and captivated audiences.

Coming to ‘Kathanar: The Wild Sorcerer,’ the film is being brought to the silver screen with the support of modern technology and an exceptional creative team. The film is directed by Rojin Philip, who gained recognition with the successful Philips and the Monkey Pen and the National Award-winning ‘Home’ starring Indrans in the lead.
