Jayasurya rekindles his bond with Sukumaran brothers
Who said actors can never be friends? Jayasurya, Prithviraj and Indrajith, we hear, are having a whale of a time on the shooting location of Nadirsha’s upcoming film, Amar Akbar Anthony. The movie, set against the backdrop of Fort Kochi, will see the real life friends as reel friends, who have a dream to fulfill in life.
Jayasurya, who is playing one of the titular characters (a physically challenged person) reminisces his friendship with his co-stars.

“Our friendship dates back to more than a decade. In my first movie, Ooma Penninu Uriyada Payyan, I played the hero and Indran (Indrajith) the anti-hero, and we shared the same room on the location. At that time, Prithvi (Prithviraj) had come to the location to meet a director and he also stayed with us. Our friendship has withstood the test of time,” says the actor and adds that they don’t have any ego clashes.
“While shooting for Nadirsha’s film, I used to hang out in Indran’s and Prithvi’s caravan. Sometimes we sit together for long chats after the shot is over. Recently, we started a whatsapp group named ‘classmates’, and four of us — Indran, Prithvi, Narain and I — are the members. It’s a blessing to have such good friends in your life,” says the actor.
About his new look in the movie, Jayasurya says, “In the film, my character Akbar has a new look with chin beard and a slight army cut. Interestingly, some of my fans sent me pictures of them having the same hairstyle. It is a delight to know when our characters make such impact on the audience.”
Interestingly, the audience will also get to see the trio crooning a song, penned by Nadirsha, in the film.
