Jayaram on 34 years of ‘Aparan’: The day I first met Aswathi

The raconteur filmmaker Padmarajan's directorial film ‘Aparan’ marked the entry of one of the versatile actors in the film industry, Jayaram. Jayaram has now taken to his social media handle and reminisced his memories during the first-day shoot for the film.

, the actor penned a note that read, “February 18, the day my debut film ‘Aparan’ commenced its shoot. The day I first met Aswathi. 34 years have passed now, I thank each and everyone for your love and prayers.”

The Padmarajan film ‘Aparan’, was released in the year 1988 and told the life of a naive man named

Viswanathan

whose life falls into hardship due to his strange resemblance with a gangster. Padmarajan brilliantly made the audience feel the presence of the gangster without actually showing him on-screen.

Jayaram played the role of ‘Viswanathan’ and his debut acting performance got much appreciation from the audience. The music of the film was composed by Johnson and the editing by B Lenin.

Apart from Jayaram, the film ‘Aparan’ also featured the actors Shobana, Madhu, Mukesh, Parvathy Jayaram, MG Soman, Innocent, Sukumari, and Jalaja.
