‘Janazah’ trailer: Mamukoya to play the lead in this short film

Veteran actor Mamukoya turned 75 today! Mamukoya ventured into movies through the 1979 film ‘Anyarude Bhoomi’ has been entertaining the audience with versatile characters for over 40 years and continues to do so. The actor has signed in to play the leading role in a short film titled ‘Janazah’ and the makers have unveiled the trailer of the film on his birthday.

Mamukoya is playing the role of Gandharvan Haji, an eighty-year-old man. Janazah is the story of a fantastical journey to the death of the Haji. When he travels at night in the same deathbed where his ancestors were carried, in the arms of his children. As he reaches the most relaxed state of his life, the wonders of the sky begin to call to him. Gandharvan Haji's beautiful journey to heaven begins here.

Kiran Kambrath has scripted the film and directed it. Sarasa Balussery,

The trailer looks promising and Mamukoya has got into the skin of Haji. The actor’s avatar from the film is also impressive.

The film is adapted from Fayas Bilawal’s story. The cinematography and editing are handled by Ghanashyam.

Dawn Vincent is in charge of the director of audiography. The art department is handled by Jarar Thorappa.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Mamukoya’s last outing was ‘One’. The film had Mammootty in the lead.
