Janani to play 'Malar'

Actress Janani

isn't doing many movies in Malayalam, but she is quite busy in Kollywood handling three projects. The actress, who was last seen in Ithu Thanda Police in M-Town, plays a character named Malar in her upcoming Tamil movie Thollaikatchi.

'My character is quite a traditional girl wearing half-sarees, and is paired with Ashwin Kakumanu,' says Janani. A romantic comedy film, it's being directed by Sadiq Khan and also has Manobala and Subbu Panchu in important roles.

Meanwhile, Janani is also working on Ulta with Vijay Sethupathy and another project with Kalaiyarasan in Tamil.
The actress will soon play yet another delightful character in an upcoming Kollywood film. The movie has Darling fame Rameez Raja as the hero.
'I play a character that talks a lot, and is quite reminiscent of many roles that Genelia has played in several films,' says Janani. She adds that the film, directed by Vijay Balaji, is a full-length comedy.
