Popular actor Jagadish and ‘Kasaba’ actress Neha Saxena will be seen essaying the central characters in their upcoming Malayalam movie ‘48 hours’. The film also features Rahul Madhav, Lukman, and Soumya Menon in lead roles.
“Jagadish and Neha Saxena will be stepping into the shoes of doctor in the film,” Jeevan MV, the director of the ‘48 hours’, revealed in an exclusive conversation with ETimes.

The director has also shared that the story of ‘48 hours’ revolves around the rare Bombay blood group. Speaking about Neha Saxena’s character, he added, “She plays Dr. Sandra, a central character in the film. Her role is very crucial for the narrative and is a performance-oriented one. Jagadish Chettan plays a surgeon and his character also plays a pivotal part in the plot.”

Jeevan MV and his team shot for the film's first schedule last month. The film's story is extensively based in a hospital and the team had to film it accordingly. “We took all the precautions while shooting and have almost completed the first schedule. The rest of the portions are majorly outdoors and also a few portions outside India. So we will be shooting the rest once the pandemic situation is under control,” the director added.
He also shared that the pending portions involve several action sequences, which are very intense and engaging, and hence have to shoot it without compromising.
