Slow and steady seems to be Rejith Menon's mantra these days. The 23-year-old actor says he is in no hurry to sign up films just for the sake of it. 'I am taking it slow so I can choose good films. Last year, I did three movies and this year too, I would be sticking to that number,' says the young actor, who is currently shooting for T K Rajeev Kumar's 'Up and Down'.
He has also finished filming 'Chapters' and 'Tourist Home'.
While his movies last year '
Sevenes,
Doctor Love and
Innaannu Aa Kalyanam ' saw him in supporting roles, is the actor content with sticking to those characters? 'It's not a conscious decision,' he says, adding, 'I've been getting a lot of offers to play the lead but nothing seemed interesting enough to take up.'
However, the actor says he is excited about his role in
Up and Down which also stars Indrajith, Pratap Pothen, Ganesh Kumar, Meghana Raj and Remya Nambeesan. 'It's a movie with just nine characters, all of them having equal importance. Also, working with such experienced cast and crew helps me to learn,' he says.
