Soubin Shair, who recently delivered the blockbuster ‘Manjummel Boys’ signed Rajinikanth starrer ‘Coolie’. On Wednesday, August 28, Lokesh Kanagaraj confirmed that Soubin Shahir is part of the cast, and welcomed him onboard.
The director dropped the character poster of Soubin Shahir and welcomed him on board. Soubin Shahir will be essaying the role of Dayal in the film. In the poster, Soubin Shahir is seen wearing a golden watch in his hand and a burning cigarette in his mouth.

‘Coolie’ marks Lokesh Kanagaraj’s first collaboration with Rajinikanth. Written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, also has actors Upendra, Shruti Haasan, and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles. The film is touted to be an action thriller. The dialogues are written by Lokesh alongside Chandhru Anbazhagan, who has also written the additional screenplay for the film.
On the technical side, Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for the film. The cinematography is done by Girish Gangadharan. The editing is done by Philomin Raj. Anbariv is in charge of the stunts. ‘Coolie’ went on floors in July. The film is scheduled to release in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada.
