Chenda is not just an instrument for actor Jayaram. At numerous instances, he has termed it as his passion and gaining the professional status, a dream come true.
The artiste, who portrays a chenda player in the film Swapaanam, recently revealed to a prominent news site that it was indeed a great opportunity, which materialised his fantasy of playing one onscreen.Jayaram’s love for elephants, chenda anything Kerala-based is well-known.
He has also performed at various temples across the state for festivals and also played chenda alongside its exponents.
