Is Prithviraj Sukumaran’s ‘Vilayath Buddha’ releasing in December? Here’s what we know

Directed by Jayan Nambiar, with a screenplay by Rajesh Pinnadan, the film is an adaptation of Indugopan's beloved work. Prithviraj Sukumaran stars as Double Mohanan, a small-town smuggler, while Kottayam Ramesh takes on the role of Bhaskaran Maash, another central character in this drama-thriller. The film also features a strong ensemble cast, including Anu Mohan, Shammi Thilakan, Priyamvada Krishnan, and several others in key roles.

‘Vilayath Buddha’ is surely one of the most awaited films of Prithviraj Sukumaran and according to the latest reports, the makers are planning to release the film this year itself.

According to the Asianet News reports, the makers are in discussions regarding the release for ‘Vilayath Buddha’ which is reportedly set for the month of December this year. If the reports turn out to be true, then Prithviraj Sukumaran can surely mark another hit this year after ‘Aadujeevitham’ and ‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’

The fans of the writer GR Indugopan, holds the short novel ‘Vilayath Buddha’ close to their hearts, and the expectations are high as it will be visualized on the big screens. The movie is directed by Jayan Nambiar and the screenplay is penned by Rajesh Pinnadan based on the novel by GR Indugopan.
Prithviraj Sukumaran will be playing the role of Double Mohanan, a small-town smuggler and Kottayam Ramesh will be playing another lead character named Bhaskaran Maash in this drama thriller film. Apart from these two main leads, ‘Vilayath Buddha’ also has the actors Anu Mohan, Shammi Thilakan, Priyamvada Krishnan and many others in pivotal roles.
On the other hand, Prithviraj Sukumaran’s previous outing in the Malayalam film industry was with the comedy entertainer ‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’ which was directed by Vipin Das.
Meanwhile, Prithviraj is gearing up for his third directorial venture ‘L2: Empuraan’ starring Mohanlal in the lead. Currently the shoot for the most awaited action flick is going in full swing in Gujarat. The movie is the second installment of Prithviraj’s directorial debut film ‘Lucifer’.
